PROJECT
SIMCAR is an R&D project aimed at transforming the way road infrastructures are inspected, analyzed, and maintained through the use of advanced digitization technologies, multimodal sensors, and intelligent data analysis.
The project proposes the development of an on-board vehicle data capture and analysis system, capable of assessing road conditions and classifying suitability for the circulation of automated vehicles. To achieve this, advanced sensors, artificial vision systems, and data analysis models will be integrated to detect pavement pathologies, evaluate the road environment, and generate structured information for infrastructure conservation management.
Through this technological platform, the goal is to optimize road inspection and maintenance processes, improve road safety, and facilitate the adaptation of infrastructures to the deployment of autonomous mobility.
OUR CONTRIBUTION
Immersia participates in the project by contributing its expertise in advanced data analytics, integration of multisensory information, and the development of visualization and analysis tools for smart infrastructures.
Its contribution focuses on the development of the evaluation and analysis system for the data captured by the onboard sensors, as well as on the definition of the information models and digital tools that will allow transforming the obtained data into operational diagnostics for road management. These capabilities will facilitate the generation of indicators on the state of the infrastructure and support decision-making in conservation and maintenance processes.
