PROJECT
VIRD is an R&D project aimed at improving the efficiency, sustainability, and operational capacity of waste recovery plants through the use of advanced digitalization technologies, artificial intelligence, and digital twins.
The project proposes the development of an intelligent platform capable of integrating data from sensors, industrial systems, and artificial intelligence models, enabling the optimization of waste treatment processes and improving operational decision-making. Key innovations addressed include the development of algorithms for route and task optimization, computer vision systems for material characterization, and the creation of a digital twin of the plant to monitor and simulate its behavior in real time.
The initiative seeks to increase efficiency in waste management, reduce operational costs, and minimize environmental impact, contributing to the transition towards circular economy models and more sustainable industrial processes.
OUR CONTRIBUTION
Immersia participates in the project by contributing its experience in advanced data analytics, interactive visualization, and industrial digital twin development. Its contribution focuses on the design and development of the visualization platform and the digital twin of the plant, which will allow data from multiple sources to be integrated, treatment processes to be represented digitally, and advanced analysis tools to be offered for operational optimization.
Thanks to these capabilities, the system will allow monitoring the plant's operation in real time, analyzing operational scenarios, and facilitating data-driven decision-making, improving both the efficiency of the process and the operators' understanding of the system's behavior.
